What is the eligibility to get Meals on Wheels Home-Delivered Meals?
|
| A: |
 |
Eligibility is determined by an individual's
inability to shop or cook to meet his or her nutritional needs. Each
case is reviewed individually, often substantiated with medical
documentation. Individuals under 60 must have a doctor's referral.

| Q: |
 |
Why are there two Meals on Wheels programs in the County and are you part of a national Meals on Wheels program?
|
| A: |
 |
There are two county programs because meals must be
delivered from our kitchen to home in under two hours and hot and cold
temperatures must be maintained at health mandated levels. Neither
program is affiliated with any national program.
