Active Living programs in the Griffin Center offer information and access to needed services, monthly seminars, art exhibits computer coaching, workshops and special presentations in collaboration with health, legal, culinary and financial professionals. Because of these partnerships, classes can be offered at no, or very nominal, cost.

Our Active Living Programs promote healthy aging, learning, and personal growth by offering numerous activities in the following areas:

  • Nutritious meals five days a week at the Center and at 5 Peninsula locations
  • Fitness classes offer a wide variety of low, or no, cost exercise classes
  • Health and Nutrition classes, screenings, and workshops
  • Collaborative legal, social security, medicare, tax and other services
  • Technology classes for word processing, internet access, e-mail, web searching, etc.
  • Individual computer coaching
  • Enrichment opportunities featuring discussion, poetry, art instruction, textile arts, etc.
  • Financial and estate planning seminars
  • Social Interaction for networking and relationships
  • Information and referral links to needed services
